Celery
Game Description
Celery is a linear and humorous dungeon crawler where the player controls a chef who has lost his recipes. With a light-hearted tone and a frenetic pace, combat is based on capturing enemies with a frying pan and “cooking” them to obtain temporary abilities (for example, throwing carrots, tomatoes or explosive mushrooms). The game offers a strategic hack and slash experience with unique bags and a cartoon and minimalist visual style.
Role in the Project
In this project I assumed the role of Producer and Programmer:
- Management and production:
- Implementation of the Scrum methodology, with weekly sprints and monitoring through sprint backlog.
- Coordination of tasks between disciplines (programming, art, sound, marketing).
- Organization of builds, communication and presentations at events such as IndieDev Day.
- Programming:
- Player character mechanics (movement, dash, basic combat, capture and cook enemies).
- General game systems: Game Loop, UI, VFX integration, shaders and SFX.
- I did not participate in the enemy AI or the implementation of traps, but I did participate in the rest of the main functionalities, such as the bags.
