BRRRUM!

Context - Premis Ludi 2025

This project was developed as part of a game design challenge promoted by 3Cat, focused on creating an educational video game prototype for children aged 6-8 years. The goal was to explore how video games can be used as a playful tool to support curricular learning and positive values.

Game Description

BRRRUM! is a game designed to encourage the learning and conscienceness of children towards recycling and sustainability. Through infinite levels of logic and two game modes, children have to bring waste to their respective containers, using critical thinking and promoting their spatial vision.

Role in the Project

I participated mainly as a programmer, in charge of:

  • Create a procedural level generator based on a square grid.
  • Design the generation algorithm and the progression system.
  • Program core loop, feedback and animations, using React components and GSAP.
  • Implement the UI behavior and device responsiveness.
