BROTS!
Context and Game Jam
BROTS! was developed at the Great CITM Game Jam in 8 days. We won the Terrassa Prize, for the best game proposal on emotional well-being and sustainability, and the audience award. The theme was Evolution. Trial and Error and the subthemes Emotional Well-being, Sustainability, Gender Perspective, Extinction and Rebirth, Paradox and One Button.
Game Description
It is an investigation game where the player must take care of different plants with unique behaviors that develop and interact with the environment. The main mechanics are that the player must learn through observation, trial and error, the behavior of each plant and how it affects the others and the greenhouse.
Role in the Project
I participated mainly as a programmer, in charge of:
- Implementing the behavior of each plant with Unity State Machines.
- Integrate programming of basic game mechanics and assets.
Technologies and Tools
- Unity, with Cinemachine and Wwise.
- C# for game logic.
- Github.
